A high-end lamp designer from Brooklyn says Italian fashion house Ermenegildo Zegna committed a faux pas when it ripped off his pine-tree design in its holiday window display, according to a new lawsuit.
Adam Frank says he realized last November that the menswear brand was using a blown-up version of his copyrighted “pine” lamp in stores across the country, the complaint filed Thursday in Manhattan federal court says.
He is suing for copyright infringement.
A rep for Zegna, which has a store on Fifth Avenue and more than 30 others in the US, didn’t return messages.
