The New York State Thruway says all eastbound lanes of the Cross Westchester Expressway are closed between exits 9 and 10 due to an accident.

Traffic in the area is being diverted off at Exit 9. Signs are directing motorists how to re-enter I-287 at Exit 10.

The accident involves a truck and a car.

State police say there are injuries, some serious. They have no other details.
