This isn’t how you want to get out from under your debts.

The feds have dropped a $1 million forfeiture order against corrupt former Assemblyman Anthony Seminerio, who died last month while serving a six-year prison term for influence peddling.

Papers filed yesterday in Manhattan federal court said prosecutors agreed to “abatement” of his case, including the demand that he pay back his ill-gotten gains.

The disgraced Queens Democrat Queens was appealing his case when he died at the federal lockup in Butner, NC, less than a year into his sentence.

While in office, Seminerio took payoffs from a hospital, schools and business lobbying groups in his district, funds disguised as consulting fees.

The Manhattan US Attorney’s Office declined to comment.
