The infamous 1989 “Butcher of Tompkins Square” is staying in his locked nuthouse, thanks to prosecutors and a Manhattan judge.

Daniel Rakowitz, who has repeatedly applied for more freedom, was found not guilty by reason of insanity for the murder of roommate Monika Beerle — whose body he admitted he dismembered, boiled and fed to the local homeless.
