A high-ranking member of the Latin Kings street gang was sentenced yesterday to 50 years in New Jersey state prison.

Francisco Demoscosco, 36, of Plainfield, NJ, was found guilty last September of attempted murder, aggravated assault and weapons offenses.

Prosecutors say Demoscosco and a fellow gang member attacked a Plainfield man outside a nightclub in January 2008. The victim fled but was chased down by Demoscosco, who stabbed the man repeatedly.
