Football legend Lawrence Taylor thought a Rockland judge might flag today him for being out of uniform during a hearing to discuss a pending trial on rape charges he faces.

Taylor’s lawyer, Arthur Aidala, explained that the hall-of-fame Giants star did not realize he was required to make an appearance at the status conference.

“My client asked me to profusely apologize on his behalf for not wearing a jacket and tie today,” Aidala said. “He doesn’t mean to show the court any disrespect.”

State Supreme Court Justice William Kelly said the linebacker was not offsides.

“No problem,” the judge said.

Taylor was casually dressed in black pants and a striped shirt.

The ex-NFL MVP is accused of paying $300 to have sex with a 16-year-old Bronx runaway in a suburban hotel room in May. He’s pleaded not guilty to third-degree rape and other charges.

Taylor is due back in court Dec. 7.
