‘Lawsuit magnet’ detective
Police brass don’t have a clue about this detective.
Andrew Liakos, a Queens narcotics cop was promoted to detective despite being sued six times — with the city forking over $178,000 in settlements — for using undue force in arresting people he suspected of buying drugs, The Post has learned.
The six were all found innocent.
Despite the multiple abuse allegations against the narco cop from 2006 to 2007, Liakos was promoted to detective in October 2008.
The city Law Department stressed that settlements were not an admission of wrongdoing.
