A lawyer for two victims killed in the horrific crash on the Taconic Parkway said yesterday the behavior of the family of wrong-way driver Diane Schuler is “very suspicious,” adding he believes her relatives know what “set that woman off that day.”

Brian Sichol represents relatives of Guy and Michael Bastardi, who were in the car she hit on July 26. Schuler, her daughter, three nieces and another passenger in the Bastardis’ car died.

Sichol said Schuler, who allegedly had been drinking and smoking pot, “[reached] out for help” as she drove erratically around Westchester, but never contacted her husband, Daniel. “The whole thing is strange,” he said.

Sichol said he plans to sue Schuler’s family.

A private eye hired by Schuler’s kin said Daniel has no idea why she didn’t call.
