A consumer fraud lawyer claims she was abruptly fired by New York State Attorney General Letitia James for publicly sounding the alarm about gender affirming care and “transitioning” kids.

Glenna Goldis put the AG’s office on blast for terminating her from the consumer fraud and protection unit on Thursday, revealing they treated her like a “pest” when she first started flagging concerns about gender medicine for youngsters.

“James was wrong to treat me like a pest. I was trying to warn her about red flags for fraud that I saw around PGM [pediatric gender medicine] — that’s what she hired me to do,” she said in a scathing statement on X.

“In the end NYAG accused me of engaging in ‘disruptive public speech.’ Unfortunately, that’s not true. I haven’t disrupted the Democratic elite’s zombie-like devotion to PGM providers. But I’m just getting started.”

Goldis said she started flagging — both on her Substack and internally within the AG’s office — that PGM providers could potentially be engaged in dangerous consumer fraud as early as 2024.

“I was trying to have substantive conversations with the Attorney General’s office about pediatric gender medicine and the fact that it’s a fraud, or that it’s potentially a fraud, and then later that I was concerned that the AG was making false statements about it,” Goldis told The Post Friday.

She said her concerns were only met with warnings that her public statements may have violated a lengthy internal policy dictating what employees can and cannot say outside the workplace.

Eventually, one of her posts referencing last year’s major Supreme Court case on PGM, US v. Skrmetti, contradicted James’ legal opinion, eventually leading to a warning from her bosses and eventual firing.

Goldis — who described herself as a lesbian “member of the LGBTQ community that James purports to champion” — went on to bash leftist officials for turning gender-affirming care into a battle of good versus evil.

“I’ve practiced public interest law for my entire 15-year career. My social circles are full of progressive lawyers. Like most Americans, they tend to be leery of PGM,” she said.

“But their leaders on the left treat it like a battle of good vs. evil. That makes ordinary people afraid to voice skepticism. James’s behavior toward me illustrates why the public discussion of PGM is often one-sided in places like NYC — and so strikingly different from what you hear behind closed doors.”

She said James should address specific questions about PGM to see if she truly understands the impacts of puberty blockers and other potential malpractice stemming from the industry.

“This is a very unpopular position that she holds,” Goldis said.

She also believes the AG’s restricting her outside communications is unconstitutional. 

“I believe it violated my rights in particular, and I am in contact with First Amendment experts to advise on that issue,” she told The Post.

In a statement to The Post, a spokesperson for the attorney general’s office confirmed Goldis’ firing.

“The Office of the Attorney General has rules and protocols for employees who engage in activities that can impact the work, operations, or integrity of the office,” the statement said.

“This former employee’s flagrant and repeated disregard of these rules and protocols disrupted and undermined our efforts to protect the rights of all New Yorkers.”

James’ office, for its part, is embroiled in a slew of ongoing federal lawsuits against the Trump administration over its efforts to crack down on gender transition procedures for children.
