Former CBS producer Robert “Joe” Halderman’s six-month prison term for trying to blackmail David Letterman is set to begin today.
He pleaded guilty in March to attempted grand larceny, saying he threatened to ravage Letterman’s clean-cut image by revealing the late-night TV icon’s office affairs.
Letterman blunted the $2 million demand by confessing on air. His viewership hasn’t suffered.
