Baldwin also labeled Lhota press aide Jessica Proud a “liar” for mis-characterizing his position on stop-and-frisk.

“Quite honestly, it should never surprise any New Yorker the antiwoman . . . misogynist statements of Alec Baldwin,” Lhota told The Post.

On the debut of his MSNBC show, “Up Late with Alec Baldwin,” Friday — featuring Democratic mayoral nominee Bill de Blasio — Baldwin criticized stop-and-frisk as a lazy enforcement strategy.

After de Blasio appeared to agree with Baldwin, Team Lhota spent the weekend hammering de Blasio for calling cops “lazy.”

De Blasio called the attack a “cheap” distortion of the truth.

Baldwin said Monday, “Lhota’s campaign should stop running against de Blasio’s supporters and start running against de Blasio.”
