Investigators on Long Island’s Oak Beach — where the bodies of four online escorts were found over the winter — believe they have discovered a fifth.

Searchers and police think they’ve found the remains of another victim of a suspected serial killer who dumped bodies along Ocean Parkway.

A Suffolk County police spokeswoman said Tuesday that officers were “continuing to search for evidence in the missing persons case of Shannan Gilbert.”

Officers were initially searching for the New Jersey woman last December when they happened upon the bodies of four women. Gilbert’s body was not among them. She was last seen in a shorefront community nearby.

Helicopters and dogs were assisting with the search east of Jones Beach.

Police theorize a serial killer may have been responsible for the deaths. All four women were in their 20s.

No suspects have been identified in the deaths of the women.
