A Long Island dad was fatally mowed down by a hit-and-run driver as he walked home from a church dinner, authorities said yesterday.

Construction worker Daniel Fanuele, 42, was killed instantly as he crossed Lakeland Avenue in Sayville Wednesday night.

He and a friend, Joseph Gerdvil, had just attended a Bible meeting at the New Life Community Church, near his home.
