She’s definitely turning cartwheels.
A 21-year-old Hofstra University student always dreamed of joining the circus — and now the long-legged aerialist is set to audition next week with the renowned
Cirque du Soleil.
It sounds like a tough balancing act — studying for her communications degree while training several hours a day — but acrobat Taylor Krasne says she can juggle it all.
“The minute I saw Cirque du Soleil, I [knew I] had to be in it — it’s the most beautiful thing I have ever seen,” Krasne told The Post.
“I’ve seen about seven shows. It’s my life goal,” she said, although admitting that she’s nervous about her May 8 invite in Orlando, Fla.
In late February, Krasne sent the circus a video of her performing an “aerial silk” act in which she uses two pieces of silk fabric hanging from the ceiling to spin, roll and do contortions.
A few days later, she got the call to try out.
“It’s a perfect combination of doing the thing I love most in the world and travel,” said Krasne, who lives in Westbury, LI.
