A black man threatened by a mob of white teenagers spewing racial epithets outside his Long Island home should have called the cops rather than confront the gang with a loaded pistol, an appeals court said Thursday, upholding John White’s conviction for killing one of the teens.

White, of Miller Place, who was found guilty of second-degree manslaughter in the August 2006 slay of Daniel Cicciaro Jr., had been out on bail pending appeal.
