MEDFORD, N.Y. — Suffolk County authorities say a Medford woman has been arrested on a manslaughter charge in connection to the fatal stabbing of her boyfriend.

Police responding to a call found the stabbed 48-year-old man at his Granny Road home in Medford around 2:30 a.m. Sunday.

Melvin Garcia was taken to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

Authorities say he was stabbed during an altercation. His girlfriend is scheduled for arraignment on Monday.
