A 35-year-old Long Island man was sentnenced to 19 years in prison and five years probation for the beating death of his two-month-old daughter.

Juan Rodriguez pleaded guilty to manslaughter in the Jan. 29, 2007 killing of Giovanna Marie Rodriguez.

The Hempstead man admitted covering the baby’s mouth and slamming his daughter into her crib.

Investigators said the father then drove to the Bronx and dumped the baby,s body in a trash bin on Willis Avenue.

His wife pleaded guilty to lesser charges of hindering prosecution and was sentenced to five years imprisonment.
