A Long Island nanny was arraigned this morning for allegedly assaulting an infant in her care, authorities said.

Anneliese Brucato, 48, of Plainview, allegedly gave a generic Rite Aid brand of Benadryl to the four-month-old girl.

Nassau County prosecutors said they think Brucato was trying to get the baby to go to sleep.
