FARMINGVILLE, N.Y. — Police have released a surveillance tape of a suspect in a robbery of a Long Island pharmacy who made off with prescription drugs and cash.

It happed at a CVS Pharmacy in Farmingville on Sunday. There were no injuries.

Police say the man entered the store, asked an employee if it had certain prescription drugs. They say he then left, returned a short time later and presented a threatening note demanding drugs and cash. The employee complied and the robber fled on foot.

The tape, released Thursday, shows the suspect in a dark hooded sweat shirt and baseball cap talking to the employee.

A week earlier, a robber walked into a neighborhood drugstore in Medford, N.Y. and shot four people to death before leaving with a backpack full of pills.
