MINEOLA, N.Y. — Police on Long Island are continuing their search for two of three men who attacked and robbed two other men while shouting an anti-gay slur.
Nassau County police said the two suspects remained at large on Friday.
Police already have arrested a third suspect. The 23-year-old man is being held on hate crime-related charges on $50,000 cash bail.
Investigators said the suspects punched and kicked the two men in Lakeview in the early-morning hours after Halloween.
They say the victims suffered black eyes, bruises and bloody lips. One was dressed in women’s clothing, possibly as a costume.
Their assailants also took $7 from one of them.
