A jury awarded a gay Long Island Rail Road train engineer $480,000 yesterday after deciding she was falsely accused of grabbing another female engineer’s breast.

Melissa Stampf, who has been operating LIRR locomotives for 17 years, had denied behaving inappropriately and argued that she merely gave colleague Angela Trigg a friendly pat on the shoulder.

“I feel like justice has been done — my name has been cleared,” said Stampf.

The jury in Brooklyn federal court returned the verdict after deliberating for just three hours.

The railroad had suspended Stampf, 43, for several weeks on administrative violations and docked her pay.
