A Long Island teenager was killed early yesterday when the car he was riding in slammed into a tree and flipped over, cops said.

Jonathan Havlicek, 19, of Mount Sinai, was in the back seat when driver Krystle Rivera, 23, of Selden, lost control of the white 1988 Mercedes on Middle Country Road at about 3:30 a.m.

Havlicek was pronounced dead at the scene. Rivera and two other passengers were treated for nonlife-threatening injuries at Stony Brook University Medical Center.

Authorities did not know whether excessive speed was a factor but said there was no sign that alcohol played a role.

They also did not immediately know where the group was coming from or headed to at the time of the accident.

The car came to rest near a tree, and rescuers had to remove the roof to get to the occupants.

Belongings from the mangled wreck littered the scene, and several residents in the residential area emerged from their homes after hearing the thunderous impact.

Cops were investigating whether anyone involved was wearing a seat belt.
