SHIRLEY, N.Y. — A Long Island woman is charged with fatally stabbing her live-in boyfriend during an argument.
Suffolk County police responded to a report of a stabbing at a home in Shirley at around 4 a.m. Friday.
They found 45-year-old David Harris had been stabbed in the leg. He died at Brookhaven Memorial Hospital Medical Center.
The officers said the victim’s girlfriend, 56-year-old Kathleen McGettigan, told them she had stabbed Harris during an argument.
McGettigan will be arraigned Saturday on a manslaughter charge.
