An 18-year-old Long Island woman was injured after being struck by lightning over the weekend.
The woman was struck at Heckscher State Park in East Islip around 6 p.m. Sunday, Newsday reported.
George Forman, deputy regional director for New York State Parks, says the unidentified woman was taken to a hospital; her condition wasn’t immediately known.
