This is the spectacular moment a lightning bolt strikes One World Trade Center during an overnight electrical storm in New York.

Striking footage shot during Tuesday night and Wednesday morning’s storm shows the massive bolt illuminating dark skies and hitting the spire of the Manhattan tower.

Temperatures will be noticeably cooler Wednesday than a day ago, with a high of 83, AccuWeather forecasts.
