Hip-hop star Lil Wayne went to Madison Square Garden last night instead of jail, hours after a basement fire closed Manhattan Criminal Court, where he’d been scheduled for sentencing on a gun charge.

Wayne took the stage at a concert starring Jay-Z — where rapper Young Jeezy told him, “We with you 100 percent,” MTV.com said.

Wayne today is expected to get a year at Rikers.
