Lil Wayne got a lil more free time yesterday.
The hip-hop superstar, scheduled to start a one-year prison term on a Manhattan gun-possession guilty plea yesterday, doesn’t have to turn himself in until Monday, court officials said.
The unexpected “furlough” comes courtesy of Tuesday’s basement fire at Manhattan Criminal Court, the still-under-repair courthouse where his sentencing has now been delayed three times.
Lil Wayne’s first “furlough” happened Feb. 9, when, Justice Charles Solomon allowed him to remain free to complete major dental surgery.
The second “furlough” came after Tuesday’s fire. The third came today because the courthouse is still closed due to the blaze.
