Lindsay Lohan’s father, Michael Lohan, was recovering Tuesday from emergency surgery to repair a blocked artery, TMZ reported.

Lohan was rushed to Hoag Hospital in Newport Beach, Calif., Monday after complaining of chest pains while at a doctor’s office for a consultation. A nurse called 911 after taking Lohan’s blood pressure and getting an extremely high reading.

Doctors determined that Lohan had a blockage in the posterior interventricular artery of his heart and performed emergency surgery.

Lohan’s doctor, Dr. Farzan Rajput, believes Lohan can make a full recovery, sources told TMZ. He is expected to be released later Tuesday.
