Power is out to a dozen tracks at Penn Station, causing major delays for Long Island Rail Road commuters.
At least six trains have already been cancelled for the evening commute, and the MTA is anticipating more delays and cancellations, officials said.
“We are advising riders to anticipate the possibility of cancellation and delays because of Amtrak power problems,” said MTA spokesman Aaron Donovan.
Amtrak, which owns the tracks and Penn Station, didn’t immediately return requests for comment.
On Thursday morning, a train was stuck in an East River tunnel for two hours.
