Litigation in forecast
Weatherman George Cullen filed suit yesterday over his firing last month after 29 years with CBS.
His Manhattan federal court complaint seeks more than $1.7 million in damages for breach of contract and age discrimination on grounds that he was ousted to make way for a younger replacement, Michael Born.
Cullen, 58, claims executives canned him from his $171,000-a-year job for being unreachable when he had actually been attending a mandatory training session.
A spokeswoman said, “CBS has not seen the complaint and is reserving comment.”
