A 4-year-old special-needs boy was found wandering in Manhattan alone early yesterday after managing to slip out of his family’s apartment, authorities said.
EMS workers found little Joshua Roblesrua walking around Allen and Stanton streets in the Bowery at 5:40 a.m.
According to passers-by, the little boy had been wandering around trying to open doors along Allen Street, where he lives.
“He kept saying he needed to go to the park,” said Zaquerie McCollum, 26, of Williamsburg. “He had no shoes, nothing. He was dirty. He’d definitely been out for a while.”
Joshua’s mom, Brittney Gates, told The Post they moved to the city just over a week ago from Texas.
Gates, 24, who is in the National Guard, said her son has a rare chromosome disorder, but is very mechanically inclined.
“He’s a little Houdini. Joshua finds a way to get out of anything,” she said. “He can work childproof doors and childproof locks.”
