A Staten Island baseball coach accused of breaking the rules to help his team make the Little League World Series has been cleared of wrongdoing, league officials said Thursday.
Michael Zaccariello, 54, a coach for South Shore Little League, had been accused of assembling an all-star lineup months before he was allowed to do so.
Brian McClintock, a spokesman for Little League International, issued a statement on Thursday clearing Zaccariello of the alleged cheating after a “thorough review.”
