City Comptroller John Liu is losing another key adviser.

George Arzt, who has been spokesman for Liu’s mayoral campaign, announced yesterday that he’s leaving.

“When I joined him in December, it was supposed to be a short-term assignment,” Arzt said. “I wish him the best.”

Liu’s campaign finances are under investigation by federal prosecutors.
