A 37-year-old livery cabbie was killed today after being shot in the face and smashing his minivan into five unoccupied vehicles in Brooklyn, police said.

Carlos Nunez of Valley Stream in Long Island was driving his 2004 Toyota Sienna eastbound on Decatur Street in Bushwick when the incident occurred around 12:45 a.m. by Irving Avenue, police said.

He was on his way to pick up a fare.

EMTs rushed Nunez to Brookdale Hospital, and it wasn’t until they were at the hospital that they realized he had been shot. He was pronounced dead on arrival.

Nunez drove his personal minivan for Natasha Car Service on Wilson Avenue in Brooklyn.
