A writer who saved the 4-inch individual birthday cake she was served at Elizabeth Taylor’s 60th birthday party in 1992 has taken the aged pastry out of her freezer and donated it to a Queens nonprofit.
The cake, which lasted twice as long as the longest of Taylor’s eight marriages, was given by Jane Scovell to the Queens Economic Development Corp. to display at a party.
