ALBANY — Lobbyists from 19 firms spent a total of $1.1 million trying to win the right to run a video lottery parlor at Aqueduct Racetrack, say figures released yesterday by the New York Public Interest Research Group.

Buffalo-based Delaware North spent $421,315 but failed to place. Aqueduct Entertainment Group, which Gov. Paterson initially selected but abandoned after the Lottery Division deemed the firm “unlicensable,” spent $275,350.
