ALBANY — Lobbyists, their employees and their political action committees poured more than $1.8 million into state political campaign coffers in 2011, according to the New York Public Interest Research Group.

Gov. Cuomo — who rails against “special interests” in Albany — was the biggest beneficiary by far, pulling in $423,278 from lobbying interests, the report found.

Attorney General Eric Schneiderman — at $143,539 — and campaign committees controlled by the legislature’s majorities were next.

The lobbyists’ money is about 4 percent of campaign funds raised, the report found.
