Gov. Cuomo yesterday appointed one of New York’s top business lobbyists to be the state’s economic-development czar.
Kenneth Adams, 50, will be the new president and CEO of the Empire State Development Corp. A Brooklyn resident, he has headed the Business Council of New York, the state’s leading business association, since 2006.
Adams, whose dad, Murray, is a longtime Cobble Hill civic leader, was previously president of the Brooklyn Chamber of Commerce and director of the Metro Tech Business Improvement District in Downtown Brooklyn.
