A boat passenger is missing after the vessel’s operator allegedly drunkenly crashed into a jetty off Long Island early Monday, police said.
Jack Benjamin, 25, was charged with boating while intoxicated after the crash in the Great South Bay in Sayville at about 1:25 a.m., according to Suffolk County police.
Five passengers were riding with Benjamin in the boat at the time of the wreck, police said.

Rescue teams have been unable to locate the missing individual. Suffolk County Fire and RescueOne man, 25, went overboard without a life jacket. He remained missing as of early Tuesday.
Benjamin and a female passenger were treated and released from South Shore University Hospital in Bay Shore.
The three other passengers were not injured, police said.
