Long Island cops are hunting for the heartless hit-and-run killer of an emotional-support dog — an adorable toy poodle named Romeo.
The pup was walking with his owner just after 11:15 p.m. April 23 when a female driver struck him with her SUV on Pine Street in Selden, cops said.
Suffolk County police are seeking the public’s help to identify and locate the woman who left the scene after striking and killing Romeo with her car. Suffolk County Police DepartmentThe dog’s owner tried to reach into the SUV to stop the driver, but the woman sped off, according to police.
Suffolk County cops released a sketch of the suspect Friday and offered a cash reward for tips leading to the driver.
