The Long Island man who allegedly gunned down his ex-wife and her new lover inside their million-dollar home this week scowled as he emerged in handcuffs Friday morning.
Daniel Coppola, 50, did not respond to questions as he and another inmate walked out of the 6th Precinct in Selden.
He was dressed in green hospital scrubs with socks and no shoes as he was loaded into a waiting police vehicle for his arraignment in Central Islip.
Coppola is charged with two counts of second-degree murder for supposedly fatally shooting his ex, Kelly Coppola, and her boyfriend, Kenneth Pohlman, as they slept in their $1.1 million St. James home around 11:45 p.m. Wednesday.

Coppola and Kelly, 50, had been engaged in a bitter divorce battle.
“He leaves her in the car, goes behind the bush … and evidently he broke down the door, went up [and] did what he did,” Pohlman’s grieving father, Kenneth Pohlman Sr., told reporters outside the home.
“[He] came back and told his daughter, ‘I killed your mother and Kenny.’ That’s what he told her.”

Kenneth Pohlman, Kelly’s boyfriend, was also killed during the attack. Facebook/Kenneth PohlmanCoppola allegedly fled while his daughter texted her friends in a panic, Detective Lt. Kevin Breyer said.
The shocked friends eventually called 911, the detective said.
Coppola was later arrested at his St. James home about a mile from the crime scene.
He was initially placed under a mental health evaluation for making suicidal statements.
The shocking killing came after the former couple finalized their “contentious” divorce a year or two ago, Breyer said.
The police were once called to respond to a non-criminal dispute between the couple when they were still married, authorities said.
Pohlman’s family described Coppola as a “maniac.”
“From what she would say, he abused her,” Kenneth Pohlman’s brother, Tom Pohlman, claimed.
Pohlman, meanwhile, found happiness with Kelly Copolla after losing his own wife to cancer, the family said.
The couple shared the six-bedroom, four-bath home where they were killed.
