Four people have been charged with assault as a hate crime after a weekend attack in Babylon, Suffolk County police said.
Three teens and a 20-year-old asked two men for directions to the train station at around 3:30 a.m. Sunday. They then allegedly punched and kicked the victims while using slurs based on sexual orientation.
The suspects are all residents of Oceanside.
