A man is accused of committing a rash of burglaries on Long Island’s posh East End, stealing paintings, lithographs, silverware and a French stamp collection worth a whopping $500,000, authorities said today.
Angel Palencia, 24, of Medford, is being held on $500,000 bail after pleading not guilty today at his arraignment in Suffolk County Court in Riverhead to six burglaries.
Palencia is suspected of taking 40 paintings, lithographs and other valuables from homes on Shelter Island and Southhampton this past January and February.
