A 21-year-old Suffolk County man was killed in a gruesome car crash early Saturday morning, police said.

Reny Cruz-Puente crashed his 2004 Honda Acura TSX into a telephone pole on Deauville Boulevard in Copiague at 1:15 a.m., according to Suffolk County Police and video from the scene.

Cruz-Puente, who is from Copiague, was thrown from the car and taken to Good Samaritan Hospital Medical Center in West Islip where he was pronounced dead.

Video showed the car wrapped around the telephone pole with pieces of it strewn across the road.
