A man died after being pulled from a fire in the aptly named Sayonara Motel on Long Island early Sunday, police said.
Kevin Furey was on the second floor of the Amityville motel when authorities responded to a report of a fire at around 5:35 a.m., according to the Suffolk County police.
Video footage from the scene shows a woman being plucked by firefighters from a second-story window, while thick smoke billows into the sky.
She was believed to be one of at least four people who were rescued.
Furey, 56, was found in his room after he was overcome by the smoke and flames, authorities said.
He was rushed to St. Joseph Hospital in Bethpage, where he was pronounced dead, according to police.
