OCEAN BEACH, N.Y. — The Coast Guard and police are searching for a swimmer reported missing off Fire Island.
The Coast Guard says it received a call from a friend of the missing 26-year-old man at 2:45 a.m. Tuesday.
It says the unidentified swimmer entered the water at Bayberry Walk in Ocean Beach.
He was wearing blue and orange swim trunks.
