EAST ISLIP, N.Y. — Police say a Long Island teenager has died after losing control of his go-kart and crashing into a parked car.

They say 18-year-old Joseph Mastrangelo was driving the go-kart south of Route 27A in East Islip when he struck the vehicle at 4:40 p.m. Sunday.

Newsday says Mastrangelo was found beneath the car. He was taken to a hospital where he was pronounced dead.
