What a difference a damn word makes.
James McMillan is so peeved that the state and city shortened the name of his party on the ballot that he’s gone to court.
McMillan’s group, the Rent is Too Damn High Party, was on the ballot in 2005 without a problem. But in the 2006 governor’s race, the state Board of Elections changed it the to the Rent is Too High Party.
So he filed suit in Brooklyn federal court last week against the state and city board of elections, demanding $50 million in damages — and a permanent place on all statewide ballots for the Rent Is Too Damn High Party.
