LANCASTER, NY — A man who won a share of a $10 million lottery jackpot was killed in a fire in suburban Buffalo.

Authorities in Lancaster say Roger Grandy’s body was found Wednesday near his ranch home, where he lived alone. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.

Grandy was one of three winners of a $10 million Lotto jackpot drawn in November 1996. Lottery officials say Grandy took his $3.3 million winnings in annual payments.
