A Brooklyn woman who gets around with a motorized scooter hit a $13.5 million Lotto jackpot—but the windfall won’t get her to trade in her old wheels.
“It’s been a struggle for me to be disabled, for me to get out and maintain the household,” said Sharisee Frails, 42, a stroke victim and single mother of two, as she accepted the prize at Kings Plaza yesterday.
But that’ll all change with her $5.72million lump-sum, aftert ax payout. “It’ll be easy!” she gushed.
Her first buy will be a new home, she said. Then comes a vacation. But one thing won’t change—her scooter, which she has had since 2001 despite a dodgy set of brakes.
